Dionne was born and currently lives in Melbourne, Australia with her husband and three children.

 

She completed high school in 2004 at Mount Scopus College and has since then studied Fashion and Textile Merchandising at RMIT and Graphic Design at CATC, worked as a graphic designer and a stylist for large-scale events.

 

It was through a culmination of her training and experience practicing as a graphic designer, along with her inherent artistic inclination that she developed the unique technique of using glitter coated material and turning it into intricately designed and contemporary artworks. She has always had a fascination with textures and surfaces that interact with light and movement. She believes that glitter in particular has an amazing effect on people, due to its’ joyful, uplifting and feel-good nature. She uses this medium in her artwork in attempt spark more of these positive emotions in its‘ viewers.
